Housed inside a vintage Altec mic mixer chassis, this dual channel build is a recreation of the the vintage Gates SA-70 classic two – stage tube preamp design re-popularized by a premier boutique pro audio manufacturer. Employing a unique tone-shaping topology via negative feedback manipulation allows for substantial tonal shifts and changes in saturation and harmonic content.

Built with 1960s RCA PA input transformers, vintage Triad output transformers, GE and Western Electric tubes. DI switchable on CH.1 via toggle on the front panel.
