Designed to be a simple yet versatile workhorse studio DI, the WOLFDRIVER combines the benefits of a high ratio transformer ideal for passive direct injection with a toggleable Drive mode, allowing users to plug into a high impedance 1MOhm FET buffer which feeds a warmly biased germanium boost stage prior to the transformer, supplying smooth harmonic enhancement and gain, allowing users additional coloration and the ability to push higher levels into receiving preamps for stacking hot signals.

Striving to employ as much “vintage” as possible in these – the Wolfdriver features a 1960s transformer and 1950s germanium transistors, built into a vintage RadioShack enclosure with an XLR connector from old microphone mixers.
