Preserving the methods early engineers and studio technicians used to produce coveted tones and keep fabled equipment in operation for nearly a century at this point, AMPTEK carries forward the standards from the golden age of recording equipment design.

Embracing simple yet proven circuits that stand the test of time, we encourage running signals hot, pushing tubes, transistors and transformers to get the magic out of analog equipment. Using a high-quality mixture of vintage and current production components paired with rugged and serviceable construction, our equipment embodies a “New Old School” approach.

Resenting the ever growing pile of e-waste, in lieu of making mass-manufacturable, but near impossible to repair equipment, our gear is designed to keep chugging along decades down the road, constructed with long-term serviceability in mind. Regardless of convenience and cost, in the realm of audio equipment that spends decades in studios, it feels irresponsible to create something that, come component failure, physical damage or needing basic servicing, ends up another piece in the graveyard.
